Crafted with pure white wax and housed in a protective 8-inch by 2-inch wide container, this glass jar ritual candle is designed for sustained ritual work. White wax carries the energy of purification, clarity, and spiritual communication—making it the ideal ancestor veneration candle for your wiccan samhain altar, and a potent spirit work candle across Pagan, Hoodoo, and conjure traditions.

How to Use Your Ancestor Candle

Whether performing a complex working or leaving a simple offering, this candle serves as your energetic anchor.

Set the Altar: Light this samhain candle alongside photographs, treasured heirlooms, or food offerings for your ancestors to create a focal point for their spirits to return to.
Open the Channel: Burn this ancestor altar candle during Dumb Suppers, séances, or quiet meditation to part the veil and invite communion with the dead.
Sustain the Magick: The glass jar protects the flame during burns—making it the perfect ritual candle for samhain. It is ideal for multi day workings or a full pagan samhain ritual through the dark half of the year.

Ritual Attunement Care & Maintenance +

For the best ritual burn, always trim the wick to 1/4 inch before lighting to prevent smoking and ensure a steady, even flame. Because this is a glass container candle, it can burn for extended periods safely, making it ideal for the long, dark nights of Samhain. Allow the wax to melt completely across the top layer during its first use to avoid tunneling. While these are traditionally called "7-day candles," actual burn time varies based on environmental factors like ambient temperature, drafts, and how often the candle is extinguished and relit. Most practitioners find they burn for 3 to 7 days of consistent ritual work.

The Devotion Year-Round Practice +

While this candle is the perfect centerpiece for Samhain and Día de los Muertos, ancestor veneration is a powerful, year-round practice. Keep this candle on your permanent ancestor altar to light during new moons, birth anniversaries, or whenever you need the gentle guidance of your lineage.

A single flame bridging the gap between the physical realm and the unseen world.
