A paten is a plate that holds sacraments in religious ceremonies. In the tradition of Wicca and Witchcraft, the pentacle disk is an essential ritual tool which evokes the Earth element. It can be used to consecrate other objects, stones, and jewelry, and display sacramental food items during ritual. The pentagram in upright fashion represents the four elements balanced by Spirit.
Birch is a wood of emotional intelligence and corresponds to matters of consciousness, clarity, empathy and inspiration. We also have an unfinished option for those wanting to be crafty! Our unfinished patens are hand-sanded and beautiful on their own, but you'll be able to personalize it further by drawing, writing or carving it prior to finishing it yourself.
