The triquetra, known as the Trinity knot, represents a sacred triad and an unending flow.  Often used to symbolize divinity, from the Triple Goddess to the Holy Trinity of Christianity, it invokes the inspiring prose of the Irish who wrote their wisdom in threefold.  The Triquetra can be found as a reoccurring motif in the book of Kells and other illuminated manuscripts, in the churches and ancient cultural artifacts of Ireland, and a deeper root extends from the Norse runestones of Northern Europe that bear its mark. Celtic knotwork is representative of Irish, Welsh and Scottish heritage, and is symbolically a representation of the infinite nature of the cycles of life.
