Thor, a Norse God, created thunder by striking his great hammer Mjollner. He protected the house of the Gods and humankind. For the runes on the bottom Paul used younger runes. The words are Old Norse: "Thur uiki thisi hamar" which means, “Thor hallow this hammer.”
