412-622 Ram's Head
Excelsior Pewter with accent bead, 36" cord, and booklet. Double-sided. 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" Ancient Egyptian Jewelry
Many Egyptian Gods and Goddesses were represented with a human torso and animal head. The animal head often symbolized the characteristics of that particular god. "Ra" had the head of a hawk, ensuring the gift of swift flight; Anubis was jackal headed; and Harsaphes was ram headed and linked to fertility and virility. Our "Ram's Head" pendant is a beautiful reproduction of an historic museum piece found in a Nubian King's tomb.
